As always, an excellent piece.

Love (ha!) seeing references to the “Eskimos have 50 words for snow” thing pop up every now and then. I remember from my anthro minor in college that it’s not actually 50 words JUST for snow, but rather a whole lot of phrases that relate to snow, from “snow that is crisp on its surface” to “snow that is fluffy” to “fresh-fallen snow” and many more.

I don’t recall seeing one for “yellow snow”, though…
